Glazed Lemon Nut Bread
1/4 cup Butter 2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
3/4 cup sugar      1  teaspoon salt
2 eggs     3/4 cup milk
2 teaspoon grated lemon peel     1/2 cup nuts
2 cups flour                   

 

* set aside
2 teaspoons lemon juice  2 tablespoons sugar for the glaze.
Directions:

Cream together butter & sugar.  Add eggs, lemon peel, flour, baking powder, salt to creamed mixture, add milk.  Beat until smooth.

   Bake in loaf pans @ 350  for 50 minutes or until golden.
 
* Glaze with  the Lemon juice and sugar mixture while the loaf is still hot.

Great with an afternoon tea break!
